Fred Thompson dies at the age of 73.  Lymphoma.

How sad, I really liked him. I wondered about him not long ago.

He was a good actor but a poor presidential candidate.  He just didn't have the passion needed.  Sort of like Jeb!

But I agree that his passing at the young age of 73 is sad.

I was a huge fan of his, backed his Presidential aspirations, that is, until he was part of the RINO campaign to steal TEA and use it for their own political gain.
Of course that totally backfired thankfully, but I lost all respect for him at that point.

I remember him from the televised Watergate-hearings, forgot about 'im, then saw him in the late 80's thinking he was damned familiar.  -Probably in Die Hard 2.  Great actor.

As a Senator, he was a charismatic orator, but he was strangely void of charisma as a Presidential candidate.  In a later Hannity-interview, Fred's wife Jeri took-over and I was thinking: man, this guy married somebody way too young
