I see some good news in this article about the replacement for Johnny Isackson when he retires at the end of the year. Stacy Abrams had previously said she would not run for the seat in 2020 and now the number two choice for democrats has declined. Democrats have been crowing about turning GA blue going forward. What these decisions tell me is that democrat internal polling does not look good for them.
I'm not a big fan of Johnny Isackson (Conservative Review's Liberty Score F 34) but I would like to shake his hand for stepping down in this election cycle. It's the Presidential cycle which we all know brings out more voters especially republican voters.
Now as far as the democrats wanting Lucy McBath to run for the Senate is a head scratcher. Hell I think she's going to lose her 6th District seat and lose it big. Besides I don't get the attraction with her as far as her political views.

GA is my native state although I left there in 1970 but I try to keep up with its politics.
Your point is well made about timing. I think the dem dilemma in GA is they only have leftists to run and the great majority of the folks outside of metro ATL have no desire to vote for leftists.
