I've been a fan of Kid Rock for a long time, so I'm a little biased, but I know he's a libertarian, which I am at heart, but I think he's sincere.  His music is drenched in pro-American patriotism, having fun, and chicks (sorry feminazis - you ain't gonna like this one).

I don't know all his policies yet, but I do know he's pro-freedom, pro-American, pro-First Amendment, and pro-Second Amendment, so that's a good start.  This is Michigan for goodness sakes.

Here's his campaign page: https://www.kidrockforsenate.com/

Here's his site you click over to.  The landing page sets the tone: https://kidrock.com/chooseyourvideo

Here's a sample song that I like...

Here's a recent Dan Rather interview:

The Dems in Michigan are about to have no idea what hit them.  If you think Trump was over the top, fasten your seatbelt. He's running against Marxist Debbie Stabenow.  Debbie, good luck hon... you're gonna need it.

QuoteOnce again the press is wrong. First of all, I've got 15 days from my announcement to file paperwork with the FEC! Second, I'm not signed to Warner Bros!!! - which simple fact-checking would have revealed. I have recently worked out a unique deal with BMG, Broken Bow, CAA and Live Nation to release music ON MY TERMS. Like politicians write books during their campaigns, I'm planning on putting out music during mine and IT ALL STARTS TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT. It's not a hoax, it's a strategy and marketing 101! No plans for an album or anything else that has been the usual norm in the music business OR politics.....and.....

Senator Stabenow and I do share a love of music, although probably not the same kind. I concede she is better at playing politics than I am so I'll keep doing what I do best, which is being a voice for tax paying, hardworking AMERICANS and letting politicians like her know that We the People are sick and tired of their bullshit!

Get used to hearing Senator Rock.

Not my style of music, but that was just a stepping stone for getting out his pro American message.
One thing certain, the nation is sick and tired of Establishment pols, so anyone with a following such as his, has a few steps ahead in any race, especially if they're going up against a leftist traitor from either party.

I really hope he stays conservative.

What I can't wait for is how he handles the opposition when they try to throw dirt his way. Something like this:

DS:  "My opponent here has been seen having sex with 4 girls on a tour bus once.  I'd like for him to explain this behavior to the people of Michigan."

KR:  "Folks, that is simply not true."

DS:  "Well, I figured you might deny it, so that's why you can go view the recording yourself online.  Now Mr. Ritchie, do you deny it now with this video evidence?"

KR:  "Yes, I do."

DS:  "I hope everyone now sees how this man is a liar.  I'd like to al....."

KR:  "You're lying."

DS:  (with a smirk) "Please, Mr. Ritchie, you've been caught, and everyone can see it."

KR:  "That's just not accurate ma'am.  It was 6 girls.  Two were under the covers when that video was taken."

Uhh, yeah, your point? I mean, after all, it had nothing to do with an unpaid intern and I wasn't cheating, and on top of that, they were well paid, unlike the lady in the "Stained Blue Dress".
Again, your point ma'am?

The best part about it from when I was looking through articles last night is the Dems are TOTALLY freaking out about this.  The election analysis sites had her as a solid blue before he ran, so it will be interesting to see how that changes once they get going.  When I was looking for his campaign site, I finally found it on page 3 or 4.  All the results before were libs in a panic because post-Trump they seen how that can go in MI.

They drop tens of millions in a single district in GA for a congressman race -- 1 out of 435... imagine how they're going to melt down after they lose a solid blue senate seat in a blue state... I can't wait until this heats up.

He'll drag votes away from the GOP frontrunner, a Jewish woman unlikely to oust Stabenow but still wealthy enough and with time enough unlike Ritchie to seriously engage on the campaign trail. The Detroit News RINO editor Nolan Finley called for him to do more than just talk about jumping in.

Finley also assessed the Donks' present frontrunner-by-default, Gretchen "No Record" Whitmer (link below). Note RINO enthusiasm for the reputed home team, here.

QuoteTrump is the variable. If the mid-term election turns out a ton of outraged Democratic voters, it could be a slaughter for Republicans up and down the ballot. Whitmer might be able to coast in on the anti-Trump wave.

She also might be helped by the entrance into the GOP primary of state Sen. Patrick Colbeck of Canton Township, a tea party darling who is bound to tug the Republican primary way to the right and limit the party's appeal to independents in the general election.

But for Democrats who still see little hope for Whitmer, they can wait a while longer to see what Geoffrey Fieger is going to do.

Whitmer is Granholm Redux. Disaster on high speed rails, colliding with itself headlong at top speed. Fieger (Jack Kevorkian's celebrity-hound ambulance-chasing shyster) is a disease. And after eight spineless years of Rick Synder, Finley's dead wrong about what will appeal to independents in the general election.

It won't be Robert Ritchie or Geoffrey Fieger. But if Trump keeps piling up LONG term successes like alien roundups, job increases, more than 3% annual GDP growth (and so on!)---with any luck at all those angry Donks won't outvote the rest of us here. So many indies and evangelicals sat it out over the same process handing us New York trash in a well-cut suit.

The gubernatorial race may devolve to a female/female scrap, either way the primary ends, but my home state may openly pile up the joke votes, throwaways because Neither of the Above was listed.

What they won't do is get Kid Rock for Senate. We're not Minne-SO-ta, ya know, so THANK ya very much!

You seem to underestimate his popularity.  He has more money than any of the candidates, more name ID, and can get 50k+ together at a time.  I'd be amazed if he doesn't win.

Quote"Trump is the variable. If the mid-term election turns out a ton of outraged Democratic voters, it could be a slaughter for Republicans up and down the ballot. Whitmer might be able to coast in on the anti-Trump wave."

OMG, I about peed myself reading that tripe.

There is no such animal, this is Midterm, Dims just don't turn out, not only that, there is no Dim party, they are not organized, their message is all 'Hate Trump', they run on absolutely nothing, and this author actually thinks there's some kind of organized mob of leftists that will show up at the ballot box, not in support of any particular candidate, but as a vote against?

The rest of your post makes little sense, filled with anecdotal nonsense splattered with conjecture based on nothing.
Let's look at reality instead, shall we?

QuoteLANSING, MI -- Republicans have a stronghold on Michigan political offices, and they're looking to keep it that way.

"We brought down the blue wall," former U.S. Rep. and current Macomb County Public Works Commissioner Candice Miller told a cheering crowd at the Michigan Republican Party Convention in Lansing Saturday morning.

Four months after bringing home the first presidential race since 1988, Michigan Republicans were glowing with President Donald Trump's win. American flag apparel, Trump t-shirts and the president's signature "make America great again" hats dotted the audience.

But the state's Republican's weren't just gathered to celebrate. They were there to get to work.
http://www.mlive.com/news/index.ssf/2017/02/michigan_republicans_working_t.html

For a little HILLARity, read this nonsense, where the left wants Stabenow to lean even further left.
This does not bode well for any Dim running, where a fractured party exists only because a 27% base of Marxists stuck around, and are now pushing what's left of the party, further left.
And no, that angry 27% does not translate into votes.
Warren sees a real threat in a Kid run, a very serious threat,

http://www.inquisitr.com/opinion/4220576/swing-left-debbie-stabenow-your-progressive-voters-have-an-independent-berniecratic-option-now/

The following is the shock and horror of a Rock run in a climate of a Trump win where they didn't take him serious either.

http://thehill.com/blogs/in-the-know/in-the-know/342101-warren-on-kid-rock-senate-run-we-all-thought-trump-was-joking

As to the point about Patrick Colbeck running, again, the author is lost in 1976 Carter politics.
How is it a guy who won Lansing Mi. Senate, somehow an obstruction to other Pub candidates?
I think the author is more a leftist than a RINO.

Unbowed, I repeat: Robert Ritchie will not be our next Senator from Michigan. He might even survive the primaries, but will not advance unless and until his opponent drops dead before the balloting.

I thought it fairly amusing, myself. As for the psyche of the RINO editor Finley....
