This is one to watch. Gov. Bryant is to announce his replacement for Thad Cochran today. It is expected he will appoint Cindy Hyde-Smith. She switched from democrat to republican in 2010, but has a history of conservative votes. I am not too concerned about her switch as most MS republicans switched parties. My concern is the general election where there is no primary. The GOP vote could be split between a "TEA Party" candidate and Hyde-Smith. Mike Espy is expected to run as a democrat. He is your typical closet leftist. He was an Obama appointee that had to resign for some nefarious reason. We don't need another senate seat like we did in AL.
