I thought it fairly amusing, myself. As for the psyche of the RINO editor Finley....

Finley's drivel, or mine?   Uh-oh......

Took awhile, wading down into your post, but there it was. Reality.

You got it, Bwana.
I still don't see any supporting facts in your post to Richie's possible failure as a candidate.

Point being, not only does he have Trump's support as well as others in the GOP, but the Establishment was going to run one of their own against Stabenow, in a State where a real Conservative is about to run for Governor and win.
Point being, the inertia is in the radical Richie's favor, a guy just as off the hook as was Trump, which in Mi seems to be a strong suit, as opposed to a stuffed shirt like Stabenow, the person the base wants to push further left, meaning she's been pandering to the right side of the field, meaning the State is leaning right.

All this translates into a Richie win. I'm in no way a fan of the guy, but one thing for certain, the people love two things, someone willing to get in the face of Marxists and the other being, he's not an Establishment hack, he's not even a politician, that's what got Trump elected.
In today's political world, that's a solid formula for winning.

Exactly! We are on the verge of taking over the GOP as evidenced by the last three scathing consecutive midterms slaughters over Marxist domination, where an actual Conservative was about to take the WH, only to be out done by a radical non politician, politician, Trump.
In other words, the nation showed the world it's sick to death of Marxists of all colors and is going about the business of killing off politics as usual.

I have to admit, as much as I hated the Marxist Obozo, he was just what this nation needed to wake it the fuck up, and the same goes for Trump, I hated the liberal for stealing the election from Cruz, but truth is, we now see just how evil the gop'E is and the tactics they're willing to use against anyone not agreeing with their leftist agenda of destroying America.

Cruz will be far better off thanks to the swamp draining Trump did in exposing just who runs the leftist GOP.

Geez, dude, ya think you got enough litmus paper for me to lick about a druggie promoting new music? And after about ten years of reading my posts, are you SERIOUSLY trying to tell me I do not understand a "fuck PC" attitude? You need your medications checked, sonny. I'm the exact same guy I was when I signed in here --- and I do not support druggies for federal office. Period. End of muthafugging statement, kapisch?

At what point do you expect me to give up my desire for experienced professionals and not publicity-seeking entertainers? And where were the rules that say I (the Michigan native who actually gets out and around and hears such things) can NOT impart "anecdotal," like Solar does for solar panel industry (etc.).

Kid Rock? Sure. Have at it. Make a zillion dollars, it's the American way. That just can't be why we elect him. If he were to run for GOVERNOR, he would definitely not make it. I hear that every single time his name has come up. Those who did say anything even remotely positive inferred that the Senate job is out of our area, where he (or Stabenow or anyone else) won't be underfoot, so have at it --- Kid.

I stopped reading after this.  Yes, he did a lot of drugs.  So did I.  He stopped doing drugs.  So did I.  He's only a couple years older than I, so his crazy music was when he was younger, as I was.  Now he's older and his music tastes changed.  So am I and so did mine.  I don't even like his older stuff like I did when I was younger.  That doesn't mean I'm throwing him out with the bathwater.  If you're looking for someone who has led a squeaky clean life, then he's not your guy.  My life hasn't been clean either, but that doesn't mean I, or he, can't grow up and care about grownup stuff.

When you're standing in line to vote for Stabenow, be sure to wear a "I'm with her" sticker.  They love that.

I don't vote for Democrats, and Ritchie is not going to win the Republican primary.

As did I. Obama didn't have to put any career on hold when he ran, either. At the state level, running a separate business from House or Senate duties in ONE thing --- but performing concerts is in fact quite another for implications of donating to his campaign.

If Ritchie tries playing both sides he will be annihilated as just another publicity-seeker, a Pat Poulson wanna-be in the 60s or George Burns' wife Gracie Allen running for President in the 1940s. Entertainers try this crap all the time. Dwayne Johnson's another. Yeah---RIGHT!

The state GOP had resounding success with John Engler. They got burned to the bone with Spencer Abrahaam, the worthless slug preceding Dumpie Debbie. Can she be removed, after two terms? Best o'luck. Bringing in new blood has been done, yes, but for scandal or malfeasance, not for utter uselessness.

Present GOP Gov. Rick Snyder did manage to stagger through eight years, but the Lt. Gov., Calley, wants to veer even farther left and that won't sit still with the outstaters who already think Lansing is Moscow Incarnate. (They're wrong: Moscow is on US-12.)

The GOP got smart. They may back Calley. They won't back Ritchie.

He can easily turn any concert venue into a political event, and get away with it legally, like Trump landing at any airport and never having to rent the tarmac because they're open to the public.
Point being, the more concerts he performs, the more attention he garners.
I see Richie as a maybe, but if he throws in and the longer he persists, the more his credibility he gains, and the more backing he'll glean simply for staying in the race,m after all, he's running against a moderate Dim trying to find balance between real Americans and a Marxist base.
She has one viable option, moves hard right, or forget ever garnering a majority vote, while Richie draws across the spectrum, minus Marxists.
I get your point, I really do, and you'd have been spot on 4 years back, but that ship sailed, a new harbor has been built and the water ways dredged.
While her Majesty the SS Leftist Stabenow runs adrift without direction.

The Kid Rock candidacy is a Warner Brothers marketing ploy.

QuoteYou can vote to buy Kid Rock souvenirs or albums, but not necessarily to send him to the U.S. Senate.

The attention he draws since Wednesday tweets about a supposed campaign is the product of a Warner Bros. Records promotion. Its name is in the URL and at the bottom of the Michigan stuntman's merchandise page at his new "Kid Rock for U.S. Senate" site.

The label apparently is flogging his next album by using the political process as a plaything -- though the performer still insists he considers a possible candidacy.

"I've got 15 days from my announcement to file paperwork with the FEC [Federal Elections Commission]," Kid Rocks yelps in a statement Thursday headlined: "Once again the press is wrong."

He adds: "Like politicians write books during their campaigns, I'm planning on putting out music during mine. . . . It's not a hoax, it's a strategy and marketing 101!"

Okay then. That pretty much is all we need to know.

Now allow me to point something out here. Kid Rock is in a Tea Party Candidate forum here, but Robert Ritchie is an avid supporter of Donald Trump, who by all reasonable definition is NOT a Tea Party type.

The other guy possibly running against Stabenow, is an Establishment pick, who do you choose, a leftist RINO, or a no name non-pol?

Epstein's presumably the RINO you refer to, and the talk I hear and innuendo in what I read is that the state GOP is polite about her candidacy, but it is accepted folklore hereabouts that it is simply not possible to find a Jewish conservative --- they simply cannot be anything ELSE except a liberal. And lib is definitely not what rotund-but-successful John Engler was, or what thinner-and-emptier Snyder dreams he is.

Yes, the backlash-vote concept may in fact win Ritchie the GOP primary, and at that point I will vote against him and against the OTHER Democrat running. That's what I think of metropolitan Republicans.

Get serious when Ritchie files to run. Until then he's talking trash. Michigan trash, but still trash.
