He's running against Kay Hagan, who barely won in 2008.  He's supported by Cruz, Paul, Erickson, and other tea partiers.  He's an OBGYN, so yet another private sector, intelligent normal American -- especially one who understands how destructive the ACA is.

Hope he "wipes the floor" with Hagan.  He does indeed seem like a great candidate.  I just hope that he does not turn RINO once in office like so many promising ones did (sigh).

He is one of running for the GOP nomination. I just hope they don't tear the party apart during the primary process.

Tillis already has attack ads out against Hagan.  However, I have some good friends that know Brannon and they say that he is a good level headed person and one of the best people you will ever meet.  Right now my primary vote goes for Brannon.

We are fortunate to have some good GOP candidates. I sense the party is united to take the senate seat from Hagan. That will be a full conversion for NC as we will have both senators, the governorship and both legislative houses.

Brannon should be a good choice to beat Hagan.  Hoping anyway.

We need to get rid of Grahamesty and let me say that it can't be fast enough.  Folks here are very displeased with him.

Am I correct that Tim Scott has no opposition, either in the primary or the general?

Sorry to leave you hanging.  That is my understanding too of Tim Scott thus far.
We're doing a lot of complaining in this state, as usual, but no creditable candidates have emerged to solve what ought not to be such a danged problem.  The trouble here has always been somewhat of the "good ole' boy" thingy.  Tim Scott is ok by me.
So far, the best person from SC to serve in government is Trey Gowdy.

Trey Gowdy's exchange with Eric Holder is classic. No wonder people from SC like him.

This is why Kay Hagan is in trouble. Like most good folks, North Carolinians do not like to be lied to. She has been in a closet for 5 1/2 years so simple questions are not easy for her. Then Megyn Kelly goes onto really showing Sebelius as the liar and clown she is.

I would say they need to be checking with FOX if they don't know!   :glare:
