Because he is a strong fiscal and social conservative.  Nunn is a liberal Dem.  People, especially us in Georgia, are done with Dems for the next few decades.  We want some normalcy back.

You don't think that some of Broun's.... questionable statements would turn off voters in the Atlanta/Augusta suburbs?

A good example would be his contention that Obamacare creates a vegetable-police force - that the federal government will call your house every night to make sure you've eaten your vegetables.
