Harry Reid lackey, first term U. S. Senator from Colorado, Obamacare advocate,
disingenuous fiscal conservative, Mark Udall expected clear sailing for a second
term. Hasn't turned out that way. Tea Party challenger might deny Udall the
second term.

----Newsmax quote----------------

A Quinnipiac poll released Thursday found Udall had 45 percent support to tea party Republican District Attorney Ken Buck's 42 percent.
And other possible matchups showed similar similarly narrow gaps, the survey said, with Udall polling 43 percent against state Sen. Randy Baumgardner's 41 percent; 44 percent against state Sen. Owen Hill's 39 percent; 43 percent against state Rep. Amy Stephens's 41 percent; and 45 percent against businessman Jaime McMillan's 38 percent.
"Democratic incumbent U.S. Sen. Mark Udall may be the front-runner, but he can hear the footsteps of three challengers, all within a few percentage points of him," said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.
The once sure-bet for re-election had the same 45 percent to 42 percent edge over Buck in a Quinnipiac poll last November, and a single-digit lead over challengers then as well.

Udall is what I would classify as a vulnerable frontrunner. He's ahead, but a shift in the national tide could bury him.

Udall's lead is +3 according to RCP but as we all know, polls are deceiving. Both Udall and Gov Hickenlooper are fighting for their political lives, but I wish the candidate(s) running for the GOP against Hick were stronger.

A +3 advantage is very slim in an off year election and local motivation could quickly reverse that lead. The recent recalls of state legislators concerning gun control indicates this issue is a likely motivator for conservative leaning voters. This just puts more pressure on the DNC to spread the money around. An interesting thing to watch is to see if Obama goes to CO to campaign and if Udall will have a "scheduling" conflict.

Yes, talking up gun control to your average man and woman, politically so-so, but
interested enough in the point of view that the left wing could do us in. Especially in
a state like Colorado, where it is not all that uncommon to leave your car unlocked while
on an errand -- but that is changing, and many are not too happy about it.
Here is another very tricky point of interest. I say tricky, because the left has just about
everyone convinced that legal weed is Colorado's point of pride.
1) Two state troopers were out of their cars, fortunately, during a freeway traffic stop, when
a motorist with a mad blood level smashed full speed into the two cars. Luckily, the troopers
were not struck.
2) Personally, I have on many occasions, between Denver and Colorado Springs, seen cars
driving along normally suddenly and for no visible reason, touch their brake lights. I have to
assume the drivers were seeing something I wasn't able to see. Let's get stoned and take a
spin on I-25.

Political Insanity

If the pubs nominate Buck they throw it away like they did in 2010.

Udall wins by 5-10. End of store.  :ttoung:

Seems about right.  Probably around 54-44, give or take.

Bear in mind, "The Atlantic Monthly" is the serious limousine liberal slick magazine that can use any
story as an excuse to promote the left wing agenda.

Cory Gardner is the only way we pick up this seat. He's not the strictest of conservatives, but I would MUCHHHHH rather have Gardner than Udall. I cannot STAND Udall.

I'll take the Dem Udall over the RINO Gardner.  We don't need to settle for crap, and one piece of crap isn't better than another -- especially one who doesn't fight the ACA scam.
